New Podcast episode from Steinar Jeffs: Julie Falkevik Tungevåg: A 360-Degree Musician in 2024

In this episode, we talk about what it’s like to be both a backing musician and an artist, and we hear the story of when Julie moved to Oslo to become a freelancer, as well as what it’s like to play in the Beat for Beat band.

Julie Falkevik Tungevåg is a keyboardist, singer, guitarist, and composer born and raised in Sogn og Fjordane – now residing in Oslo. She has a master’s degree in performing rhythmic music from UiA. She is a versatile musician and artist, and in addition to working on her own projects Falkevik and Du og jeg og vi 2 – 3 – 4, she works with many different artists, musicians, and projects. In recent years, she has worked with artists such as Erlend Ropstad, Ingebjørg Bratland, Maria Solheim, Ine Hoem, and Hans-Erik Dyvik Husby. She has also worked as a theater musician at Kilden Theater and Concert Hall, produced several albums, and written film music. Julie is also a regular member of the band in Beat for Beat on NRK.
