After years of developing a strong academic community in creative use of technology and Live Electronics at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Agder, we proudly present the Centre of Excellence in Education at the Department of Popular Music.

Our vision is to become an international hub for innovative, inclusive, and responsible use of technology in higher music education.

CreaTeME is located at the The Department of Popular Music at the University of Agder in Kristiansand, Norway.

The Department of Popular Music educates musicians, composers, music technologists, musicologists and music educators. The department covers the entire field of popular music, and seeks to maintain a wide range of genres and diverse musical creativities. We offer studies in popular music performance at bachelor, master’s and doctoral level.

We are Norway’s largest academic community in popular music. We have a strong focus on artistic performance, and great facilities on Campus Kristiansand.
