The Odderøya Collective is a creative workspace and residency environment in Kristiansand, hosted by CreaTeME at the University of Agder. Located on Odderøya, just outside the city center, the collective offers space for artistic development, experimentation, and exchange within creative use of music technology.
The spaces at the collective are offered free of charge and include internet access. Acoustic conditions vary and are not designed as highly specialized studio environments, but the collective provides continuity, accessibility, and room for focused work, development, rehearsal, production, collaboration, and exchange.
We want the collective to be a living environment shaped by active use, artistic curiosity, and the ongoing presence of people working seriously with creative use of music technology.

Residency opportunities
The Odderøya Collective can also host artists in residence for shorter periods. These residencies are intended for practitioners who want time and space to work in Kristiansand while entering into dialogue with the local artistic environment and the wider activities around CreaTeME.

The collective is intended for artists, practitioners, and project-based constellations working across music technology, sound, performance, live electronics, music production, and related forms of artistic practice. While many of the people currently connected to the collective have a background from UiA, the collective is not limited to UiA alumni. On the contrary, it is meant to be a place where new practitioners can come in, work in Kristiansand, and become part of a wider artistic and educational environment.
Hosted by CreaTeME, the collective forms part of a wider effort to build stronger connections between artistic practice, technological exploration, and music education. It is both a creative hub and an incubator, intended to help retain and attract artistic talent while also keeping CreaTeME and UiA’s music programs in active dialogue with developments taking place beyond institutional silos.
