Welcome to the “The Power of Equality” conference at the University of Agder on March 7th, 2025.
How can we build a performance culture where everyone has equal opportunities to succeed? We are bringing together leaders, researchers, and practitioners to highlight the challenges and solutions that can ensure equitable career development in music and sports. Through inspiring lectures, panel discussions, and in-depth conversations, we explore topics like physical and mental health, the athlete’s perspective, support systems, and inclusion – and what it takes to create real changes.

The conference is directly related to WP5 in CreaTeME, and is a collaborative project between the Department of Popular Music/CreaTeME, the Department of Sport Science and Physical Education, and the Centre for Gender and Equality.
