CreaTeME International: Live Electronics combines an open seminar and workshop, on stage, rooted in professor and artistic director Jan Bangs (UiA) pioneer work in Live sampling and Improvisation. The project is executed together with artists and students from UiA and the visiting institutions. The project integrates electronic elements with any music genre where the aim is to shape the musicians of the future, while fostering mutual knowledge transfer and exchange between institutions.
Project Leader for CreaTeME International is Associate Professor Ingolv Haaland (UiA). Alongside the seminars and workshops the project is conducting qualitative and quantitative research interviews with both scholars and lecturers at the visiting institutions aiming at further collaborative research and exchange through a  Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

This autumn the CreaTeME International project has visited The Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland and ITÜ MIAM: Centre for Advanced Studies in Music in Istanbul, Türkiye. During the stay in Katowice Jan Bang was joined by Eivind Aarset (guitar& laptop), Nils Petter Molvær (trumpet & laptop) as well as four students from the polish academy.
Electronics function as a bridge between genres and between different art forms: the conceptual dimension must be brought forward—the interplay between sound, music, text, and visual expression.
