Showcase Evening Unites International Music and Creative Arts Students at KRSOpen Conference

Tonight, the KRSOpen conference in Kristiansand hosted a memorable evening celebrating cross-border collaboration and artistic innovation. Organized by CreaTeMe, the Showcase Evening brought together gifted students from the University of Agder (UiA), University of Westminster (London), and Sibelius Academy (Helsinki) for an event dedicated to the future of music and the creative arts.

Each institution had 30 minutes to highlight a selection of their students’ projects, offering a captivating glimpse into the diverse artistic talents these universities cultivate. With contributions spanning music production, songwriting, and interdisciplinary projects, the evening underscored the value of international collaboration and showcased an array of creative expressions.

The program opened with the Sibelius Academy, featuring Elena Kirdaite and Filip Babic, whose performances displayed remarkable skill and innovation in composition. The University of Westminster followed, presenting the unique styles of Latipher and SVirgo19, each artist pushing creative boundaries in their respective performances.

Finally, the University of Agder took the stage, featuring works by Aina Dyrud Wassvik, Elena Eriksen Radulov, and a collaborative project by Simon Pedersen and Neringa Bertasiute that captivated the audience with its inventive approach.

This gathering served as an ideal meeting point for students, academics, and industry professionals, fostering connections, knowledge-sharing, and future collaboration. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with peers from other prestigious institutions, exchanging ideas and experiences that have the potential to inspire further partnerships across borders.

For CreaTeMe and KRSOpen, tonight’s event highlighted the power of cultural exchange within the creative industries. By uniting students from diverse backgrounds and artistic visions, the Showcase Evening emphasized the potential of global collaboration to enrich both the creative arts and the professional growth of emerging talent.
