First CreaTeME network gathering in August
The first CreaTeME network gathering will be held from August 31st to September 1st in Kristiansand.
It is exclusively for invited partners of CreaTeME and coincides with the highly acclaimed Punkt festival taking place during the same week. The network gathering will also provide the invited participants with professional enrichment through the Punkt seminars, which will be held during September 1st and 2nd. The programming of the Punkt seminars is curated by David Toop, a British musician and author, who has been a Research Fellow at the Media School of the London College of Communications since 2001.

Outgoing director of CreaTeME, Jan Bang, is proud of the collaboration between CreaTeME and Punkt, which represents a natural continuation of a long-standing mutually beneficial relationship. Bang’s extensive artistic engagements have necessitated him passing on the leadership role after only six months as the director of CreaTeME.
“It is an honor to take over the helm after such a versatile and artistically strong figure like Jan,” says incoming director Professor Daniel Nordgård. Nordgård was already involved in CreaTeME as a work package leader when the opportunity to assume the leadership position arose. He accepted the challenge and is looking forward to meeting the rapidly growing CreaTeME network during the gathering. “This network is important to the project. The trust given to us by being titled a ‘center of excellence’ demands much from us, and considering we are a relatively small community here in Kristiansand, it is inspiring to see that when we bring together the network we have built over the years, we suddenly become a sizable alliance with many strong partners who will collectively elevate the field and contribute to innovative, exciting, and artistically robust projects.”
