Project support for CreaTeME and UiA projects from Cultiva Digital Year 3 // Digital Transformation

In a recent board meeting, the Cultiva Foundation announced the allocation of 10 million Norwegian Kroner (NOK) to 19 selected projects in response to their “Cultiva Digital Year 3 // Digital Transformation” initiative.

The response to the call for proposals was overwhelming, with a total of 58 applications spanning a wide range of cultural fields and showcasing impressive collaborative efforts and consistently high quality. The cumulative requested funding reached a substantial 30.9 million NOK, with a total budget, including self-funding and supplementary financing, amounting to 88.1 million NOK. These numbers underscore the profound interest and innovation occurring within the cultural sector in the quest for digital transformation.

The 19 supported projects can be categorized into 8 developmental projects and 11 mature projects. These selections were made meticulously by the Cultiva board, aiming to ensure that the most promising ideas for digital transformation receive the support they need to thrive. This approach reflects the foundation’s commitment to nurturing both early-stage initiatives and more established projects that have already demonstrated a level of success.

Cultiva’s support for CreaTeME’s project Love your Latency is vital. The support allows us to artistically explore an online-onsite hybridization of musical performance spaces. The project will contribute to both technological and artistic development, locally, and facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration in Kristiansand, nationally and internationally, says Ivar Grydeland, leader of Workpackage #2 in CreaTeME and Associate Professor at the Norwegian Academy of Music.
