Steinar Jeffs from CreaTeME Launches Podcast Exploring AI and Music

In an exciting development at the Department of popular music at UiA, music teacher Steinar Jeffs has taken on a new role with CreaTeMe, delving into the fascinating realm where technology and creativity converge. As part of his outreach efforts, he has initiated a podcast series to delve into this innovative subject matter.

 

The inaugural episode of Jeffs’ podcast features a conversation with Andreas Waaler Røshol, a distinguished figure within the music academia and industry. Røshol serves as the program leader for the Bachelor’s program in Electronic Music and holds the responsibility for the specialization in Electronic Music at the Master’s level at the Department of popular music at UiA. Beyond his academic roles, Røshol is also an accomplished music producer and vocalist, known under the artist alias AWR, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at UiA.

 

In this debut episode, Jeffs and Røshol delve into the implications of AI technology on the roles of musicians and educators alike. They explore the evolving landscape where human creativity intersects with artificial intelligence, and discuss the skills that will become paramount in the future of music.
